Swish
Swish, as Bubbles touches on in "A Man's Gotta Eat", is a homemade alcohol that is intended for quick inebriation, rather than taste or palatability. The process in making it involves 'recycling' a commercially used wooden barrel that has previously held whisky or brandy, et cetera. By filling it with water and letting it sit, residual alcohol contained in the wood 'steeps' in the water, thus creating swish. However, the resulting 'beverage' is extremely high in methanol content, and can be toxic or even lethal. The practice of swishmaking has been traced back to Canadian frontiersman but has undergone a resurgence among college and even university students.
