This is a general guideline for image use on the Wiki

What Kind of Images To Use[]

  • Screen captures from installments of the franchise.
  • Photos of the actors, crew or behind the scenes shots.
  • Publicity photos
  • DVD covers
  • Movie posters, calendars or other publications
  • Photographs of official TPB merchandise

The wiki will accept jpg, gif, png and (I think) bmp files, possibly more.

Can I Use Photos I Have Taken?[]

Perhaps... provided they are a) relevant, b) in good taste and c) of good quality. Such photos will most likely be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Licensing[]

Every photo should have a license attached to it at the upload stage. If you are not sure, use the Creative Commons Fair Use license and drop the admin a line and ask. This is an area that I am still learning about.

Using Images in Articles[]

Captioning[]

Photos used in articles should have captions, something short and appropriate will do.

Placement[]

Place images on the left hand side of the page, and anchor them to the beginnings of paragraphs.

A Correct Image Tag[]

After showing the last few minutes of the original pilot (black and white

footage of Julian and Ricky starting a shootout in a public street), we

see[[Julian]] and[[Ricky]] being released from prison.

Note that the code phrasing goes File:filename.jpg|thumb|placement|caption'.

What Not To Do[]

  • upload or use images in articles that are not relevant
  • upload poor quality images
  • alter the size of the thumbnail in an article
